A copy negative of a Ku Klux Klan gathering in Fort Worth, October 19, 1923. A billboard in the background of the top photo reads "Chester L. Jones, Finance Commissioner, be sure to vote Tuesday, October 23rd." The clipping reads "Flashlight Photographs of Local Klan's First Public Initiation: Here are two scenes of the Ku Klux Klan's first public initiation here which was held Friday night at the stockade south of the end of the Evans Avenue car line. Several thousand spectators witnessed the event. Klansmen formed to receive the candidates for initiation are seen above. Below is the division of Women of the Ku Klux Klan in full regalia. The flashlight photograph were taken especially for The Fort Worth Star-Telegram by United Photo and Press Service."
